Wet n Wild Blogger Event 2015

On Wednesday (20th May) I attended the Wet n Wild blogger event in 9 Bond Street studios to celebrate their brand new makeup collection brought out just in time for Summer...it was simply brilliant & a beauty bloggers dream! 

I decided to bring my gorgeous friend Ciara Boggans along for the fun, drink, mingling, cupcakes, drink, goodiebags, drink and drink. 

Upon entry we were greeted with a much needed glass of Champagne and chats!

The room was adorned with giant balloons mood lighting and absolutely stunning cherry blossoms!Not to mention the slush puppy machine, scrummie muffins and a fully stocked Wet n Wild stand! This party was every girls makeup fulled dream... Did I mention there were goody bags too? 

This Slush Puppy machine & wonderful DJ brought Sunshine & Summer happiness to the party.

 

 

Their new collection is affordable, colorful and beautiful!Equipped with brand new lipsticks , balm stains eyeshadows and nail polishes - their new collection will not disappoint!

There I got to meet so many bloggers that I've been dying to meet for ages The Glamour Nazi & Long Hair & Lashes to name but a few! I also met up with some of my beauty blogging babes who I hadn't seen in ages Enhance whats yours , KillerFashion, BigBlondeGirl, Gail OConnor - Glam Force And it was sooo much fun to see all of these blogging beauties again!

Ziaja skincare - *Review*

Hello everyone, hope everyone is keeping on top of their skincare regime, I know I am, thanks to this absolute savior duo!

I received these two beauties at a blogger event in Dublin earlier in September. I'm always quite skeptical when trying new skincare products as the majority of them make my skin break out or effect it quite badly, as I suffer from Rosacea, So I decided to give them a whirl.

Natural Olive Micellar Water - This bottle is Paraben, colourant and fragrance free and its also Hypo-allergenic which is JUST what I need! Its key ingredients are glycerin , olive oil and pro-vitamin B5 which shocked me! And no alcohol too!
This water is used not only to remove makeup to also to add moisture to your skin, due to the added ingredient of Olive oil, this will soften your skin and soothe any irritations you may have. This can be used on the most sensitive of skin and I will definitely be re-purchasing this!
Score: 9/10

Natural Olive Cream - Another astounding find! Moisturiser is the one thing that always makes my skin flare up, so I took a real chance with this, and I found that it has been working wonders on my skin. This cream frightened me a tad because the texture is so rich and creamy, that's usually a bad sign for anyone who suffers with Rosacea, but as I applied it, it felt heavenly,you only need the tiniest dot and it gets to work straight away. Again because of the added olive oil, this cream softens skin, prevents dehydration and makes skin baby smooth. I would definitely recommend this if you have dry skin or suffer from Rosacea .

Vaseline through the years - Event

Hello everyone hope you're all well and good, and welcome October(my birthday month, yay)!!

earlier in September I was invited to celebrate Vaseline's superb party in none other than the penthouse suite in The Morgan hotel Dublin.

This was my first event so I was super excited & nervous, not realising that I could bring anyone I attended all by my lonesome... awwww.

As I walked into the penthouse suite, I genuinely could not believe the effort Thinkhouse & Vaseline went though to throw this gorgeous, classy, girly party. There were cocktails upon arrival, prosecco, a nail bar and a hair & beauty station! I was blown away! It was really refreshing to meet other bloggers and people in the business too!

There were little tubs of Limited Edition Vaseline everywhere! As well as candles, food, drinks and laughter

The rooftop deck is where it was all happening, the decor was to die for, complete with 1950's style caravan doubled as a bar handing out an array of marvelous cocktails! 

On exiting, we all got handed a gorgeous goodie bag full of Vaselines skincare and lip care range! I was thrilled! I met some genuinely amazing people, had a brilliant time, got a little tipsy and had my hair styled, got spoiled by Vaseline and got to actually see what a penthouse suite looks like. It was an amazing event.

Congratulations Vaseline!! You must be doing something right!

Simply Be curvy 2015 - The heats

Hello everybody! What a happy Sunday it is for me, and I hope that this Sunday is a happy one for you too!

I mentioned previously that I had been one of 300 very lucky and gorgeous girls chosen out of 5,000 entrants to attend the heats for the SimplyBe curvy model search 2015. And today was the big day.

The event was held in the fabulous Gibson Hotel, and I really underestimated just how big this competition is!

As I entered the waiting room to place down my name, there was a sea of stunningly beautiful women, including none other than the Expose team and Celia Holman Lee,and it was only then I felt them butterflies going crazy in my stomach, I was insanely nervous..and under dressed!! Everyone was in full hair and makeup and looked so breathtaking, I'm not going to lie...getting up at 7 was enough for me, I went seriously plain with my hair and makeup..And regret that choice  now 

After 3 hours of waiting around,I finally got called in with two other stunning girls! 

We had a practice catwalk lesson, then we entered a room with 4 judges. One of them being a previous winner, and they were all so lovely, and made you really feel at ease.My butterflies went and I was just my usual chatty self (even though I messed up my entrance a bit). They asked us around 4 questions each then we were free to leave and that we would receive a call tomorrow if we were to get a place in the final 12.

It would be a dream come true to be selected for the final 12, but all in all I am super proud of myself for even coming this far, never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to get this far in anything! 

Thank you to everyone who wished me luck, and good luck to absolutely everyone involved! 

Lets remind everyone that curves are beautiful and sexy! Don't shy away, flaunt the curves you have and be proud of them, after all, that's what makes us women! 

..Now to watch my phone like a hawk

Simply Be curvy 2015 & Liebster award!

My god this week has been SO busy for me! And I'm very sorry I haven't been blogging as much as I should have but I have a few handy posts in store for ya'll!

FIRSTLY Id like to thank Elena Villa for nominating me for the Liebster award! it absolutely made my day! I would answer some questions but I just got nominated for another award and answered a bunch of questions on my previous blog post! :) Go and visit her super awesome blog here! Thank you again lovely!

Also! i got a bit of a surprise this week! I entered myself in the SimpleBe 2015 model search campaign after applying for VPlus models (And disgracefully hearing nothing back) I decided to take the plunge..What have I got to loose right? Well I applied for SimplyBe about 2 months ago, and COMPLETELY forgot i done so, it totally slipped my mind. As I opened my Gmail and seen a mail from SimplyBe, I knew straight away it was a message to decline my application. Not even 1% of me thought that I would be accepted! As I began  to read the email I then hit this bomb!

''This  year  Simply Be Curvy 2015 has received thousands of entries from allacross  the  country.   We  have managed to whittle it down to 300 girls toattend the heats and congratulations, you are one of them!We are delighted to invite you to attend the next stage of the competition,on  Saturday  30th  August  or  Sunday  31st August at 9.30am in The GibsonHotel, Dublin.''

AHEM. ESQUEEZE ME..BAKING POWDER?!?! Whaaaat!

I was absolutely blown away! I cannot believe I've made it into the heats! I was genuinely jumping for joy! I couldn't believe it!

Now to tone up that belly and lay off the crap food!

I am genuinely looking forward to meeting everyone attending this amazing event! And good luck to all involved!! Give it your all ladies!! See you there!
